'FRIEND-RAISING' PICNIC Saturday, May 16, 12-4 pm

Come meet the Friends of Fahnestock and Hudson Highlands State Parks!

Please join us at our “friendraising” picnic on Saturday, May 16, 12-4 PM, at the Canopus Lake / Winter Park area at Fahnestock State Park. Admission is free, but please register by May 1st to allow us to plan successfully (see the registration link below). The event is being underwritten by a generous donor; a donation of $10 is appreciated. The event will be held rain or shine:

• BBQ picnic lunch
• Live music
• Information about organizations which are involved with the park
• Behind the scene tours of the park facilities
• Plans for volunteer projects to help soften the blow of the state budget cuts
• Proposed plans for renovations of the park facilities

No alcohol or pets permitted.

FoFHH is newly organized group whose purpose is to support stewardship of the landscape’s natural and historic resources, as well as education and recreation opportunities for the public. Working in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the community, we support the programming, operations, and enhancement of Fahnestock and Hudson Highlands State Parks through advocacy, education, volunteerism and fundraising.
